Attention!!

My email addresses gaultyorkies@yahoo.ca AND gaultpup@yorkies.ca have been hijacked. If you received an email from me stating that I am in Nigeria and needing you to send me money, it is completely bogus. I am NOT in Nigeria and I DO NOT want you to send me money. I have received numerous calls and emails (to my other account) from people that have received an email from these hackers. It was NOT sent by me. Hopefully no one has fallen for the scam and actually sent them any money. Authorities have been notified and the hacker is being hunted down. Any inquiries should just email me at gaultpups@gmail.com. Thank you.

Welcome to Gault Pups

Hi. My name is Tracy. I breed Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies, and I am also going to start breeding Pugs. I've been a dog breeder for almost 16 years and I've certainly learned a lot about dogs in that time. I care about the dogs I sell and I am very careful to whom I sell them to. All my dogs live in my house with me. They also enjoy spending time in my fenced backyard. My dogs have champion blood lines, no known health problems and are fully guaranteed until the age of 5. All my pets are sold on a non-breeding contract and are spayed or neutered before leaving for their new homes. They come with their own beds, veterinary certificates and follow-up advice.

How it all began

I started breeding in 1991 with Rottweillers. I showed them and bred them for about 9 years and then my lifestyle changed so I had to change my breed. I bought my first Yorkie as a pet from Irene Gilroy. After getting to know about Yorkies, I had a desire to breed them. I have been breeding Yorkies for about 8 years. I find that Yorkies are good for people that have allergies since Yorkies are non-allergenic. They are also great dogs for apartments and they don't require a lot of exercise. They are also non-shedding.

Stud Services

Stud services are available to approved CKC registered females which are not on non-breeding contracts. Open breeding dogs only unless otherwise stated.  All female dogs must be up-to-date on all their shots and must be healthy to breed and carry pups. Owners of the female must provide the following:

1) CKC registration papers
2) Pedigree on the female
3) Proof from a veterinarian that she is healthy enough to breed and is up-to-date on all her shots
4) The owner of the female must guarantee that the pups will be born and raised in a home environment and will not be sold to pet stores or puppy mills
5) All pups must be sold on a non-breeding contract

If you can meet all these requirements or would like more information please feel free to contact me anytime.

Buyer Beware

To all potential puppy buyers:  When looking for a puppy/dog, you need to do your homework before buying.
Here is some very important advice:

  1. Go to the breeder's house to see for yourself the condition of the dogs - are their living quarters and the dogs themselves clean?
  2. Ask to see the papers and pedigrees of both parents.
  3. Never buy a dog from a breeder at what seems to be a low price.  This should set off a red flag!
  4. There is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie.  Some breeders offer these pups at a much higher price when they are actually just runts of the litter!
  5. Never buy because the breeder seems to be nice.  Do your homework.  Remember the fact that although a puppy may be cute, it is no guarantee that it is healthy.
  6. Visit more than one breeder to see the different living arrangements and to find out all you can about Yorkies.

Feel free to contact me regarding any of this information.  You want a registered happy healthy puppy or dog.  A health guarantee is very important.

When purchasing a CKC Registered dog it is the breeder's responsibility to register the dog. The new owner must receive the CKC Certificate within 6 months from purchase as per CKC rules.  If you are dealing with a breeder who has not provided you with the certificate, please contact me for help in this matter.

Don't buy on impulse because that pup you see in the pet store is so cute and you can put in on your credit card.  Pet stores don't provide you with a health guarantee and CKC papers.  Keep in mind that often the pups you see in the pet stores are from puppy mills in the USA and Canada and that they have a lot of health problems.  Pet stores will not stand behind you when your puppy has health problems or even sometimes dies.  The health of these animals is NOT THEIR PRIORITY.  So do yourself a favour and don't buy from a pet store or puppy mill.  For more information, here is a link to Main Line Animal Rescue, but be warned - the pictures are very graphic.
